The Appalachian Hillclimb Series is excited to host the first-ever Brushy Mountain HillClimb at The Historic Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary in East Tennessee. This unique motorsport competition will bring approximately 100 race cars to the historic prison grounds for an unforgettable weekend of set in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains.

Event setup will take place on May 29, with competition runs on May 30 and 31. The HillClimb course will run from the prison to the Gillontine Trail, covering approximately 1.7 miles of Highway 116 (Petros Highway). The roadway will be closed to public traffic during competition but will reopen every 30 minutes to allow local access.

Spectators are welcome and encouraged, with no admission fee to attend. This is a family-friendly event, offering visitors a rare opportunity to experience competitive motorsports in a safe and controlled environment while enjoying the historic setting of Brushy Mountain.

Be sure to join us on Friday evening for the Brushy Mountain HillClimb FanFest where you can meet the drivers, check out the cars and enjoy music, food and fun. 

This inaugural event represents an exciting collaboration between the Appalachian HillClimb Series and Historic Brushy Mountain, bringing together motorsport enthusiasts, families, and the local community for a one-of-a-kind experience.

This event is open to cars prepped to SEDIV Time Trial minimum Safety Standards

Supplemental Rules and Schedule: 

Entry fee before May 15, 2026 - $350 / After May 15, 2026 will be $425 (Both are for SCCA members).

A weekend membership for SCCA can be purchased for $25.

If you cancel entry by May 15th, you will be issued a refund (minus $2 MSR fee), if you do not withdraw by May 15th at midnight, you are considered an entrant and no refund will be issued.

NO REFUNDS TO EARLY ENTRANTS/ NO EXCEPTIONS AFTER MAY 15TH.
