Located just outside Knoxville, Historic Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary offers an unforgettable group experience in the shadow of Frozen Head State Park.
Groups of 20 or more can reserve audiovisual tour devices in advance so everyone can begin exploring together. Each guest will experience 22 multimedia tour stops, plus a 22-minute museum documentary, while discovering Brushy's remarkable history through stories, videos, rare photographs, and firsthand accounts.
We recommend allowing 1.5–2 hours to enjoy the full experience. Group tours are typically scheduled between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. Eastern, though we'll do our best to accommodate other arrival times based on availability.
Please submit the form below at least one week in advance to reserve your visit. Pets are not permitted on tours; service animals are welcome.

Distillery
End of The Line Tennessee Moonshine is the only moonshine distilled (legally) at a prison. From farm to still, we use local grains and water from the mountains’ natural springs. This is true Tennessee Moonshine.
